From Townsville: Take the Flinders Highway west and follow it for approximately 900 kilometers until you reach Mount Isa.

Karumba:

From Mount Isa: Take the Burke Developmental Road east, which leads directly to Karumba. The distance is approximately 370 kilometers.

Burketown:

From Mount Isa: Take the Burke Developmental Road north, which leads directly to Burketown. The distance is approximately 580 kilometers.

By Rail

Currently, there are no direct passenger rail services to the Gulf Country region. However, you can still enjoy scenic rail journeys to nearby towns like Cairns or Townsville and then proceed to the region via air or road.
